This Saturday, June 12th, we’re having an informal gathering for those who are participating in the “Preflight planning” for revival of the Missouri Pilots Association’s MidMo Chapter. Join us at the Columbia Regional Airport Conference Room (in the building just north of the main terminal) at 10:00 am … essential “pilot accessories” will be provided (coffee, etc!) If we’re having fun we can take as long as we want — I’ve been told Domino’s delivers pizza to the airport!
Specifically, this meeting will serve to lay the foundation of the Chapter: the organizational structure, plans for programming and activities, and general “purpose for being” will be discussed. Leaders will be appointed too, so if you’re not present there’s a chance you’ll be elected! (Just kidding, though only partly so!)
I understand that the Daniel Boone Flying Club is resuming “in person” meetings the following day at Boonville so taking time out of both days could be a challenge. Nonetheless, if you can attend the COU session we’d love to see you. If not, we’re in the process of setting up a Zoom session so you can at least check in when you can.
Details will also be posted on the new MidMo Chapter Facebook group page that Braden created so please visit there as well. We promise to promptly approve your “request to join.” (https://www.facebook.com/groups/592535285004105)
